EDUCATIONAL & PROFESSIONAL
I earned a Bachelor’s degree in English and Creative Writing and a Master’s in Arts in Teaching from James Madison University, and won the Senior Award for Creative Writing on my way out. I used those skills to teach English for three years before transitioning into writing and editing for the Department of Defense as a government contractor.
Around that time, I founded and grew the career guide Life After Teaching and the personal blog Life [Comma] Etc. Through these projects, I learned about writing for the web, SEO, community building, and content planning.
After three years in contracting, I took a challenging position at a young digital marketing start-up and applied that experience to my growing knowledge and skills as a copywriter, strategic communications professional, and marketer.
BRANDING, COPYWRITING, & SEO
In 2013, I founded B2B Content Studio (initially as Greesonbach Creative) to zero in on what I do best: communicate value to specific B2B and B2C audiences. I craft professional white papers, convincing landing pages, elite ghostwritten features, and blog posts that educate and increase brand awareness for your business and, in the case of website development agencies, for your customer’s customer.
In my work, I’m known for shaping ideas into polished content assets. In my business, I’m known for sticking to deadlines and coaching out an accurate brand voice for B2B companies across across specialized industries. I bring that same focus and creative nimbleness to digital marketing and branding projects large and small.
Here’s a look at how a typical website development and B2B Content Studio partnership works:
Submit a contact form with your project history and budget. If your project sounds like a good fit for my area of expertise, we’ll schedule a 15-minute chat via email or phone to get an idea of the scope of your project and how my experience applies to your situation. If we are a good fit, we can move forward with a formal proposal and agree to a trial project in any project category.
DEPOSIT & BRANDING INTERVIEW
When we agree on a trial project, I’ll capture the discovery details via email, phone call, or video call. We’ll agree on a pricing structure (almost exclusively at a project-based rate) and I’ll send you an invoice for a full deposit (payable through PayPal or eCheck).
TIMELINE & DELIVERABLES
My average project timeline ranges from one to three weeks or ongoing monthly work. On (or before) our deadline, I’ll deliver everything you need via Google Docs and/or Word .Docx (your choice), with notes and ready for design or implementation. Up to three rounds of edits are included with every project to ensure that the final result meets the review of your key stakeholders.
While the nature of content development involves some back-and-forth, the amazing digital tools we have access to today make it easier and more efficient to communicate via email for the majority of our work together. After the initial on-boarding calls (and with consideration to infrequent check-in calls), you can expect clear and timely email updates about the status of your project. One-off 15- and 30-minute consultation calls may also be included in our project, but not to the extent that I could be considered a content strategy or digital marketing consultant.
